Once a month, gently press around wooden door frames, window trims, and baseboards using the rounded handle of a screwdriver.
Watch for:
 Soft or spongy wood
 Bubbling or peeling paint
 Tiny pin-sized holes
 Hollow sounds when tapped
 Fine mud deposits around joints
This simple inspection takes less than 15 minutes but may reveal hidden termite activity months before major structural damage develops.
