Gil is the primary currency in Final Fantasy XIV and players can earn it through various activities such as quests, guildleves, dungeons, duty roulettes and selling weapons and materials to NPCs. Gil is gained by defeating enemies and finding treasure spheres. Gilfinder abilities increase how much Gil is earned from enemies while Gil Plus Materia speeds it up even further.
